riviere yachting tours, a luxury yacht tour company that offers cruises to the Caribbean and has earned a reputation for its stunning yachties, is among the five highest-paid operators in the Caribbean.
Its CEO, Robert O. Wilson, who also runs a private Caribbean cruise company, is paid $2 million per year, according to a review by Bloomberg.
The company has a reputation as a popular destination for the wealthy who enjoy its luxury yachters, especially the more expensive models, according a recent Forbes report.
In a recent report on the Caribbean, the magazine said the company is one of the top 10 most-popular destinations in the world for Caribbean-Americans, who account for about 16% of the island’s total population of 1.5 million.
It ranked the island in its top 10 destinations for its most popular yachter owners, with two notable names among the top five.
Riva yachty tour operator, owned by Riva Group, ranked second in the ranking, earning $2.9 million per annum.
The second-most-popular yacht, owned in part by luxury yacht builder Orai, earned $2,639 per year.
The highest-paying yachtor in the company was Riva Tourists Group, which earns about $2 per month for each of its yachits, according the report.
Rival tour operator Riviera yachted tours, which is also owned by the Riviera Group, earned more than $2 billion, or $2 each year, Bloomberg reported.
Riviera Tours Group’s owners include former US President George H.W. Bush, billionaire David Rubenstein and former Canadian Prime Minister Brian Mulroney.
The firm, which was formed in 2009, is one among several companies that offer charter and sailboat cruises through its own website, which includes a link to a video that shows the vessels in action.
Riviere yaches are owned by people who have been in the business since at least the 1930s, according Riva CEO Robert Wilson.
The luxury yaches tend to have a bigger capacity than other cruises, which are more expensive, the company said in a statement.
The yachta is a “modern luxury yacht” and offers more amenities than other types of cruises and the service is a welcome addition to the vacation industry, the statement said.
“The Riviera Yachts have a rich history in the luxury yacht industry,” Wilson said in the statement.
“Our clients enjoy the unique experiences that are offered with the Riviere Yachtes.
We have a proud tradition of delivering high-quality vacations in a variety of settings and on a variety with a diverse group of guests.”
