The world’s biggest sailing competition has launched a new season of tours featuring sailing boats from Maldives, Kenya and Ethiopia.
The World Cup of sailing event announced on Thursday that the next season will begin in 2020.
It said the Maldives’ Mokandu sailing boat will sail the sailing race in 2019, while Kenya’s Alpenglade will sail in 2020 and Ethiopia’s Sumbawa will sail for the first time.
The Maldives will be represented in sailing by three sailing boats: the Sumbawan, the Alpeglade and the Albatross.
Sunderland will sail both the sailing and sailing boat races, while Hull will sail sailing boats for the third time.
The world championship is held in the South Pacific region, while the sailing championship is based in England.
Sailing is an important part of the sailing community in Africa, Asia and the Middle East.
