Tuscany, Italy: A new tour of luxury yacht tours has been announced for the capital’s waterfront.
It’s the latest in a series of high-profile new tours for the city.
Last year, the city hosted the first yacht tour of the city since the collapse of the communist regime.
The new tour, called ‘Renti’, has been commissioned by the city’s Tourism Municipality, which is headed by the mayor.
Tourist accommodation, meals, entertainment and other activities will be provided.
Tourism minister Francesco D’Errico told the city-run La Stampa newspaper that the project is being undertaken to celebrate the city as a tourist destination.
He said: “We are delighted to announce this important project, which will enable us to celebrate this beautiful city with a unique tourism experience for our citizens.”
The first tour took place in March, when an entire yacht tour boat, dubbed the ‘Rentali’, was towed into the harbour.
The tour, which was designed by renowned architect Stefano Bertolucci, cost a record €8.2 million, according to La Stampa.
The city of Tuscania has seen a boom in tourism since the fall of communism in 1989, but many locals feel that the city has been underdeveloped and understaffed.
Tourists flock to the city in large numbers for its nightlife, its traditional food, and its night markets.
